Suhuruliya initiative was commenced by Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) in colloboration with Ministry of Women & Child Affairs and Dry Zone Development through the Sri Lanka and was launch in 2016.

As part of this initiative,one community level workshop for WDO's and Women Entrepreneur's were held on 3rd and 4th July 2019 at District Secretariat,Anuradhapura with the aim of empowering women through digital technology.
